On September 28-29, 2023, a two-day intensive German Design Award review meeting was held in Frankfurt, Germany. The final judging experts for the German Design Award are composed of independent international experts from companies, universities, design and brand fields. After multiple rounds of competition, an expert jury judged the award-winning outstanding design works, covering product design, visual communication design and architectural design categories. All winners will be commended at the awards ceremony to be held in Frankfurt on January 26, 2024.

After the evaluation and intense discussion by the international design experts, one new product of ORans won the "German Design Award 2024".

Description

The line and candy colour of the Arc basin tap shows the charm of the design. The tap switch and temperature control are designed separately. By research,people rarely adjust the tap temperature. We position the temperature control knob at the bottom, and users only need to adjust the temperature once to meet the current tap temperature requirements. The tap switch is front-loading, in a faster position to use. Besides, touch switch at the position of water outlet providers more hygienic way for users.

Statement of the jury

The 'Arc' bathroom tap impresses with a minimalist design that has been reduced to the essentials and consistently incorporates the controls into the concept. The flow is controlled close to the tap outlet, while the temperature is set using a neatly integrated ring on the base. An interesting design that impresses with its particular clarity. Available in various colours, the 'Art' blends harmoniously into its surroundings or becomes an eye-catcher.

2024 AWARD CEREMONY

The 2024 German Design Awards Ceremony will be held on January 26, 2024 at the Kap Europa International Conference Center in Frankfurt, Germany. Let us once again congratulate all the winners of “Excellence in Product Design”, “Excellence in Visual Communication Design” and “Excellence in Architectural Design” for their tremendous achievements.

In order to promote design exchanges, the organizers will also organize thoughtful services such as visits to design universities, visits to famous enterprises, and design workshops. By then, 1,700 international guests from the design, political and business circles will gather. This will be an excellent opportunity for the international design community to meet and communicate.

The German Design Award is not just about showcasing design achievements, but increasingly seeing the need to put the design conversation at the forefront: global development, sustainability and circular design, digitalization and artificial intelligence, as well as building a more social , the idea of a just society, these are all themes that we focus on.
